Just a little vacation

Last week Keith took off the whole week for us to have a little family time. We had 9 days together so we decided to make the best of it and do as much as possible, and boy were we busy. The girls had a blast and it was really nice to not have anything planned and just do what we wanted for a change! This past week we went swimming almost everyday, we were fishermen, scientist, phone operators, we worked in a bike shop, we were makeup artists, models, zoo keepers, cyclists, photographers, librarians, pizza makers, and all around fun facilitators!!!

Reeling in a BIG one!!! (just look at how hard she's working)

She's so proud

Parker caught one too!!

(p.s. my pan is not dirty, but ruined by putting non-stick spray on it! Thank goodness I now know the beauty of silicon baking sheets)

Bragging Rights!!

Let me start off by saying CONGRATULATIONS to our amazing friends Rick and Kim on there newest edition Baby Sophia!! She was welcomed into the world today and has two big brother's that I'm sure are dying to meet her. See there's the happy couple!

Any way, enough about them let's talk about me and how amazing I am!!! Just kidding people. I'm just so proud of myself I had to share! Kim wanted a new car seat cushion because hers was the standard navy blue plaid and when you finally get a girl after two boys you want girly things. SOOO I begged and pleaded for her to let me make one and she was kind enough to let me experiment. Now I am extremely confident in my sewing skills even though I'm self taught and don't know how to use patterns, but I could not believe how easy this was!!!!

Look even the inside of the canopy is pretty!

VACATION BIBLE SCHOOL

Yes! It's that time of year again when all the children flock to church to enjoy GREAT music, fun activities, and GOD's word for a whole week. Our little Evangelists had a blast last week and came home everyday talking a mile a minute about all the wonderful things they learned. VBS for me is a blessing and (I don't want to say a curse but you get my point) it felt like as soon as I got Parker back from school I had to give her up again and not just her but my Kenna Cakes too!! How will I survive when they are both in school, I don't know?? However I did get to go grocery shopping by myself for the first time in oh I don't know 6 years (YIKES!) and I have some great footage of them singing and dancing at the church performance last Sunday. So to those of you who know what I'm talking about I quote my 4 year old

"God's word is comforting, LET'S GO!!"

Here's the footage I got on my regular camera on the last day at the sneak peek performance. I wasn't able to get any of Parker's group because the lighting was messing with my camera. (SAD)
