"Jump in your CAR come as you ARE"

Last night we had an amazing night at the DRIVE-IN THEATER!! It was a great way to spend a Sunday night with the family. We literally jumped in our car and came as we were, pj's and all. For $18 that's right you heard me $18 we saw not one but two new movies. We got to the Showboat drive-in at about 7:30 (even though the 1st movie didn't start until 9:00) just to be sure that we got a good spot, could get some food, and get settled in for the movie to begin. There isn't much to the place but an open gravel filled land with ramps to park you car at an incline and a large screen. There was a wide range of movie goers from families to elderly couples enjoying the nostalgia of it all. The food which is a large part of keeping the place running was reasonable priced and really delicious. The bathrooms were clean, staff friendly and the sound and picture quality of the movies were great!! We saw "The Sorcerer's Apprentice" 1st and then "Toy Story 3" started after a small intermission. Though we didn't get home until 1:30 in the morning the girls were troopers and when we asked if they wanted to leave after the first movie they insisted we stay for "Toy Story 3". Kenna's been a bit fussy today even though she slept in, but we'll take a nice long nap while it's storming out and all will be right in the world!!!

The girls were in silly moods when we got there can you tell??

That's more like it now we're settled for the first movie to begin!!

Time to stretch our legs and wait for the next movie.

There's still a LITTLE silly left in them!

Time for "Toy Story 3"!! p.s. I cried like a baby.

All in all it was a great family fun experience and we'll definitely be back!!!

It's MY birthday

Wow! I can't believe another birthday has come and gone in the blink of an eye again. Growing up being an only child my birthday was kinda a big deal but things have definitely changed now. Sure I get excited about it, but I can't remember the last time I counted down the days to MY day. Now it's just like any other Thursday with grocery shopping, waiting for the stupid Sear's guy to never show, and Keith doing the yard (his Thursay ritual). Only now I get woken up in the morning by this:

this:

and this new duet:

Also there was a cake made by my girls so with that and the sweet wake-up call all in all I had a great day!

Please excuse the hair and no make-up it was one of those days! HAHA!

Upcycling!!!

That's right you heard me I'm jumping on the band wagon and repurposing some of the girls old clothes!! I have to admit I always thought it was a cute idea but never thought I'd actually do it because I find myself getting bored with clothes VERY easily. But lo and behold I have a new obsession!!!!! Here are my first two upcycles:

Just a little vacation

Last week Keith took off the whole week for us to have a little family time. We had 9 days together so we decided to make the best of it and do as much as possible, and boy were we busy. The girls had a blast and it was really nice to not have anything planned and just do what we wanted for a change! This past week we went swimming almost everyday, we were fishermen, scientist, phone operators, we worked in a bike shop, we were makeup artists, models, zoo keepers, cyclists, photographers, librarians, pizza makers, and all around fun facilitators!!!

Reeling in a BIG one!!! (just look at how hard she's working)

She's so proud

Parker caught one too!!

Almost DONE!! Yummy!!

(p.s. my pan is not dirty, but ruined by putting non-stick spray on it! Thank goodness I now know the beauty of silicon baking sheets)
